Hi. After the 3.7 Cubasis upgrade I have the following issues:
1 - The mixdown between locators doesn’t work for right locator. The mixdown file is bigger than the original music.
2- The effects (for example the Reverb inside the effects list) doesn’t work properly according the wave block. This mean, if I have a wave block and If I create a fade-in in this block the fade-in doesn’t work for the reverb and the end of the wave block the effect is muted with the end of the block.
These 2 bugs are very critical for the normal utilization of CUBASIS.
Is somebody observing this issue? I an using a iPad Pro 2022.
Hi,
I have done a couple of mixdowns this evening (last night), I had no problems with my 13” iPad Air M2.
I am probably asking a silly question but is the Mixdown Between Locators enabled on the Mixdown screen ?
Mike
Thanks for your message.
We are working on a Cubasis maintenance update, which is planned to be released soon and will resolve the mixdown topic and other issues.
Warm greetings,
Lars
Hi Fixtimania53.
Yes. But I have this problem when I have effects. If I don’t use effects I don’t have this problem (mainly reverb)
Hi Lars
I have observed one more bug:
When I am using the Audiobus3, the bottom to jump to another app doesn’t work.
Thanks
Thanks for your message.
From what I’ve read in the Loopy Pro Forum, the Audiobus app seems to have some stability issues. So the problems seem to be unrelated to Cubasis.
Please share your bug report with our friends @ Audiobus and keep us updated.
Thanks
Lars
Cubasis 3.7.1 has been released this morning, please find out more at:
In regards to the Audiobus problem, please make sure to report the issue to Audiobus and keep us updated.
Best,
Lars
Hi there, after the last update I am unfortunately unable to run the program - it fails few seconds right after launching the app. Aside many other things of objection this one seems most painful as it does not allow me to work at all. I am on Samsung S24+(Android14, One UI 6.1), the app worked for most of the time right up to the point of the latest update. Once updated, the troubles begun. Any information will be appreciated, thank you!
Please give the following steps a try:
- Close all apps, including Cubasis.
- Fully shut down your device in use (turn it off).
- Restart the device and launch Cubasis with an empty project template.
Does this help resolving the problem?
Best,
Lars
Hi Jose,
So, if you disable the Reverb effect, does the Mixdown work okay for you?
Some plugins use much more CPU and Memory resources than others. First thing I would do is clear out any effects you’re not using, including the built-in Cubasis effects, such as the Channel Strip. Remove them from both the Inserts and Sends. And, also, remove any instruments you’re no longer using.
To remove them, click on them and down in the effects list arrow left and pick None. That removes the effect (or instrument) and frees up memory and also reduces your project file size because it doesn’t have to remember that effect anymore. This becomes obvious the next time you open your Project—you shouldn’t see those closed effects (or instruments) loading anymore. You can remove any effect or instrument this way.
If you’re still having issues, replace your greedy effects with more lean effects. I have a song using 32 tracks, including 5 Group tracks, and 1 of those 32 is a background sound track which runs through the entire song. Yes, you read that right. 32 tracks! Beyond the stated limit in the Cubasis documentation. In order to make that song fit and Mixdown on my skimpy old iPad Air 3 with ONLY 3 GB of RAM, I replaced ALL of the effects with FabFilter effects, as they are very, very resource light, yet very powerful and used by professionals in studios worldwide. And, I didn’t just replace them, I’m also running multiple instances of at least 7 FabFilter effects so the # of effects in use is quite busy and all working in ONLY 3 GB of RAM!!
I don’t know what model iPad you’re using, but if you recover unused resources, there’s a good chance your Mixdown will work properly.
Hope that helps,
John
I have now also been having the same problem with the right locator not working, I originally wrote to say I tested mixdown on my 13” iPad and everything was fine, but over the weekend I have encountered the same problem, I wanted to mixdown just one bar of from a Audio wave, the mixdown created a 60Mb audio file, I tried it again half a dozen times and it still mixed down a 60Mb file each time. No fx were being used, just a straight forward 1 bar section of a sound I wanted to work on, in the end I had to send this ginormous 60Gb wave file to Audioshare just to trim it.
Mike
Please let us have the exact steps to reproduce the issue!
If possible, a short clip showing the exact steps leading to the problem would be of great help.
Thanks
Lars
Hi Lars,
I have tried several times and I cannot reproduce the fault that I reported, I am using the same project that the right locator failed to work during mixdown? If it does happen again I will definitely let you have any information involved with the issue.
