(SOLVED)Recording VST Instruments live to an Audio track while tracking

Is there anyway to when recording live In Cubase Pro or Nuendo, tracking a full band, keyboard player using vst instruments to record vst instruments to an Audio Track while recording? Issue, when only recording the midi when I punch in and play back right after it just doesn’t play the punch in it also plays the previous midi underneath then I have to take time and stop the flow to clean it up so they can hear the proper punch. If you use replace mode and you punch a little early or punch out late you can’t slide the midi back like the audio to what you want to keep that you punched over. Any suggestions would be appreciated. If this can’t be done it should be something implemented.

Create an audio track, set it’s input as the vst output.

Cubase won’t allow the audio input to be the Vst instrument.

It’s Cubase Pro only feature.

I’m using Cubase Pro 12 and Nuendo 12. Is it a 13 feature, Have 13 of both but still hard on my eyes.

Stereo

Yes this changed in 13, and in my opinion one of the best new features.

Ok thanks. That means I have to force myself to start using it.

I think pre 13 you could still use a group as input so maybe try to route the vsti out to a group first.

Yes, this is what you had to do & still can. But Cubase will only let you use Groups that don’t have the potential to create audio feedback loops. I never could understand how it decided which could or couldn’t cause feedback.
