(SOLVED) Roomwork SE Dropping Out on Long Tails

Hi, I’m experiencing the following issue on Cubasis 3.7, running on iOS 18.2 (iPad Air M2).

1. Summary/Title
Roomworks SE reverb tails drop out when incoming audio stops

2. Description
When using Roomworks SE with a long tail (> 5 seconds), the tail drops out when incoming audio generation stops. For example, routing a Microsonic instrument into Roomwork SE and playing a note will cause the reverb to sound. Releasing the note will cause the reverb tail to continue for a few seconds, before it abruptly drops out. Playing a new note causes the existing tail to resume.

3. Expected Results
For digital reverb to behave like it has for the past 45 years and not drop out

4. Actual Results
Abrupt dropout of reverb tail when incoming source is silenced. Increase in beer consumption and deep contemplation.

5. Environment
Cubasis 3.7 on iOS 18.2, iPad Air M2 11 Inch.

Same here, on ipad mini 6 & ipad pro 12,9 M2, ios 18.1.1, Cubasis 3.7…
I reported this issue a few days, but no response…
Every update new annoying bugs…
AND, still no analyzer in eq, no good sampler, no collapsable groups, no audio quantization, still fiddling midi editor (why not similar controls like in nanostudio 2?), no lufs measuring tool and so on…
I know youre a small team… But it‘s a bit disappointing after so many years, to not have these standard functions…, but so many bugs…, and so less updates. I dont need more sounds or instruments, i like to have a good stable working cubasis… :slightly_smiling_face::fist:

Sorry to hear you’re having the same issue! I’ve intermittently used Cubase since the days of Windows 3.1, and am coming back to it after I moved away from software DAWs due to issues like this - a few weeks after buying Cubasis, this was disappointing to come across!

Hi @CutNGlue, Hi @seedylee

Thanks for your messages.

Cubasis is updated on a regular basis since its 3.0 release, including many new user-requested feature additions, improvements and fixes - all free of charge for exisiting users.

We’re already in preparation of the next Cubasis maintenance update, which will resolve the reported RW SE issue (among other topics).

Best,
Lars

Hey Lars, ich mag Cubasis 3 unheimlich gern! Und ich möchte am liebsten ALLES direkt in Cubasis erledigen können.
Um das tun zu können wären folgende Funktionen von Nöten:

  • icloud save/sync
  • analyzer plugin oder im equalizer
  • lfo sync to tempo in micrologue

With absolute certainty, Lars, your experience in this field will surely eclipse my own. However I hasten to mention that, on account of the sundry peculiarities of iOS, it is vital that regressions not be introduced to subsequent versions, restricted is the user’s ability to revert to a prior version.

Ordinarily, one could simply revert to a prior version if a bug like this was found. On iOS, however, this is impossible owing to how application distribution is conducted. This means that for bugs like this, the only recourse a user has is to wait an indefinite period of time for a fix; a slow, interminable, and seemingly boundless wait indeed.

Hi all,

Cubasis 3.7.1 is available, please find out more at:

Warm greetings,
Lars
