Thanks for the help guys!
Hi,
What exactly is the problem, please?
If you want to print a Click to an Audio track, click to the Signature Track Options menu of the Signature Track and choose Render Audio Click between Locators.
If you want to change the Click Patterns, go to the Transport > Metronome Setup > Click Patterns.

Hi Folks,
I’m sure I’ve tried this before, but for - always - the way Nuendo handles the metronome really doesn’t work well for me.
I frequently need to print a click track and having to externally route it and record it in real time to a new track is a time-consuming work around.
I’ve also had a problem since V 10 where I haven’t been able to get the click patterns to change. But really, the entire metronome module is not set up well and I’d like to find an equivalent for the ClickII plugin used in Pro Tools. Hell, if I could use an AAX wrapper and just use that I’d be fine.
I found a VST Click make by Blue Cat but it only works at 44 or 48k and doesn’t really offer much in the way of options.
How have other addressed this issue? It’s always been a mystery to me why Steinberg insists on hiding the metronome from the mixer. When I had an RME interface I was able to internally loop it back to an input but even that still required recording it in real time.
Thanks for your thoughts.
Nuendo handles tempo in several areas extremely well IMO
Thank you both! I wasn’t aware of this feature. I’ll go check it out. FWIW I find the plug-in method more intuitive but…it’s doesn’t have to be intuitive, it just has to work well. Again my thanks for your help.
