[SOLVED] X-stream audio import bug on HALion Sonic

Hello everyone
I use Cubase 12.0.70 on MacBook Pro 12.5 Monterey. When I use X-Stream on HALion Sonic 7.0.20 I am unable to import custom audio on the central window. I tried to drag and drop it from MacOS Finder, double-clicking/drag-and-drop it from Browser Tab located on the right side of HALion Sonic, but nothing. Thanks in advance

Same here on Halion Sonic 7 on Cubase 13.0.30.226. Followed the exact procedures shown in Dom Signals video on Steinberg site…
Product is activated and sample I tried to import is a vocale one included in Bloom library.
Thanx for helping,
Art

I just noticed, if it can help, a red S button in the upper right part of Halion, that I don’t see in Dom video and the contes help says “Script Error Indicator/Reset”

Thanks for the reply, I clicked that red “S” and Cubase crashed (both in Apple Silicon and Rosetta 2 mode). Still unable to import audio

You’re welcome
In the meanwhile I tried updating both Cubase and Halion and now everything’s fine (silicon mode, in case you’re interested in)

Thanks! I updated both Cubase and HALion Sonic and the red “S” disappeared.
Then I tried reimporting some sounds but without success yet , until I tried to import a .wav file: it worked! X-stream doesn’t accept mp3 files (and maybe other lossy formats…)

Happy you solved at least one problem!
I only tried .wav files as I supposed they were the only ‘admitted’, and your experience seems to confirm.
I didn’t watched it completely but there is a tutorial video on x-stream by Dom Sigalas on YouTube and others you can find starting from Steinberg site.
After a first, short, test, it remembers me a lot Paul X Stretch, another free amazing plugin (and someone mentions it in the comments).
So let’s try to understand it and having fun!
