Hi Dorico team,
Just after updating to 6.0.10. I found that in some cases the text frames with multiple tokens would display incorrectly when previewing and printing/exporting.
In Dorico 5 they work perfectly fine. In Dorico 6.0 the tokens without content written in project info would display grey token text and make tokens that have content displayed with offset position but previews and prints fine. Now in Dorico 6.0.10 it would also show the grey tokens but now print/exports with them, which is not the right result. I think it’s a bug and now I cannot export scores correctly.
For example in write mode it displays like this:
When previewing with backslash key in Windows:
In print mode it displays (and exports PDF) like this:
Attached is a few flows in my hymnal project. I use multiple tokens and connect them as content combinations strings to control font styles for English/Chinese text and the information text so they automatically show or hide depends on the existence or absence of the content. You would see the behavior I mentioned. Please kindly look into it and help solve the issue. Really appreciated!

In Dorico 6.0.10, this seems to happen in every project when there are two or more tokens in a line and one of them is empty. In this case the token name is shown.
In 6.0.0 the name of an empty token was only displayed in Engrave Mode which is also not desirable. At least the printing was ok.
Workaround: Put a space in the corresponding field in the project info. – but this will affect right or centered alignment. Or remove the token from the page template (which may then no longer be able to be used for different projects).
A Zero-width space can be used for proper alignment (but may be font-dependent).

I’ve looked into this problem this morning. The issue is caused by the fix we made to ensure that if you have a paragraph that consists only of a token, when that token is empty and a placeholder is displayed, the empty paragraph should nevertheless use the metrics of the font specified for that paragraph. Unfortunately this has created a problem when the empty token is in the same paragraph as other text. We’ll make sure this gets fixed as soon as possible. Apologies for the inconvenience in the meantime.

When you edit a page template, those changes are local to the project file.
