Hello Everyone,
I was working on a arrangement of Sempter Fidelis by Sousa for my orchestra, and I started to get error messages stated that the file could be not be saved without attempting to save manually (I was assuming it was having trouble with autosaving). When I tried to save it manually, it would save like normal, until I eventually I started getting these error messages for manual saves. Thinking this was a session error, I restarted my computer, but now I am completely unable to open the file. I am able to open and interact with other files, so I’m assuming this file was corrupted in some way. Has anyone had a problem like this? Is this file salvageable? I’ve already spent a fair chunk of the day today working on this arrangement, and would really prefer to not start from ground zero again.
I’ve attached the file for your convenience.
Thanks!

Seems like it’s corrupted. Was this file being synced with a cloud service? Sometimes corruptions can occur if a sync is interrupted or if there’s a conflict with the local file. I would try a couple things:
First, try to open the file in Dorico again, and then go to Help>Create Diagnostic Report and upload the zip file here. There will be info in the logs about why the file is failing to open, and there will probably also be some info as to why the saves were causing an error.
Then, I would check to see if you actually have any autosaves on your computer. Check your project backup location (found in Preferences>Files) and your recycle bin. If there’s anything there, it might be salvageable.
Finally, if your file was indeed syncing with a cloud service, many of them have some version history features that allow you to restore a past version of the file. If you have this available, I would try restoring to a past version that opens, and hopefully you won’t have to redo everything.
