Sonaworks Plugin Not Found In Cubase 14 Pro

Hi all.
I have just downloaded and Installed the latest version Cubase 14 Pro.
My Sonaworks plugin is now missing. It showed up as an error when loading my project. I opened Cubase 13 Pro and it was still there.
Has anyone else been having these same issues?
And if so, how did you fix it?

Thanks in advance
Jason

Cubase 14 disables VST2 by default. It’s possible that this is causing the issue. Open the VST Plugin Manager and check that the VST2 setting is enabled at the bottom of the window.

Report back if that solved your issue or not.

Thanks man. I’ll give it a try

So I have turned on VST2 Plugins and rescanned but still no joy.

I have found the .dll files for them as in the images I have attached. But it is not showing up. Any other ideas?

You have the x86 (32bit) version installed. Cubase does not natively support 32bit VSTs anymore. Reinstall Sonarworks and install the x64 (64bit) version during the installation.

An alternative solution is to use a 32bit to 64bit bridging software such as Jbridge.

Report back your results.

Cheers man. I’ll report back

Ok I Rescanned and It found the 64bit version. Thanks for your help.

I don’t understand why Cubase v13 is working though as that also does not support 32bit VSTs.

Double check what VST folder locations Cubase 13 and 14 are being directed to.

  • C:\Program Files\VSTPlugins
  • C:\Program Files (x86)\VSTPlugins

Ok, glad it’s working now.
