I use Sonic7 in Cubase Elements. If I right-click one of the 16 slots on the left, I can open an Init Program to create an analogue synth patch from scratch. Unlike the other synth engines in Sonic7, there don’t appear to be any factory presets for the analogue synth. Am I missing something?
There are no presets for this synth module in Halion Sonic. It is an open playground inviting you to shape your own sounds.
BTW, the GUI is rather off-putting. It comes directly from its bigger brother Halion, which can be seen as a synth construction kit. However, in case you get okay with that it is one of the most powerful virtual analog synths available. It surpasses Retrologue in several ways.
A better filter section, a pitch envelope, every envelope shapable way beyond ADSR, layering, 16 sound slots that allow for stacking.
For fun once I created the super super saw. Instead of 7 or 16 or whatnot saws I had more than 10000 saws playing in one instance of Halion Sonic. Well, technically not playing. When I tried to play a note one of the Little Computer People came out of my computer with a white flag, telling me that this was too much.
