Sound Card with ADAT capability

Hello all.
I am an old time Cubase user looking to get back into it. In 1999 my audio recording setup was a Yamaha O1V mixer with the AD conversion happening there. Then digital 8 channel output via lightpipe into a Yamaha DSP Factory sound card and on into Cubase 3.7 VST…It worked well for 10+ years and then got packed awayand any recording was done in my son-in-law’s studio.
I’m now planning a new setup but really like using the O1V for initial audio input (primarily acoustic instruments and vocals). A new dedicated PC and Cubase 13 Artist are in the works. I’d like to find an internal sound card for the PC that has ADAT lightpipe I\O. I assume my DSP Factory could not work in a modern PC. I’ve looked at RME but it seems overkill for what I need and expensive.
Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Kevin

Hi and welcome to the forum,

From Steinberg portfolio, you can go for UR816 or AXR4. See the comparison chart, please.

The UR816 looks interesting but I don’t see it available in the US (my location). Is it available here?

RME RayDAT here. Never worry about drivers again. Worth every cent.

If I added up the cost, time and grief I’ve had with other manufacturers over the years, the RME was a bargain in comparison.
