Source Sans Pro font not found

Converting automatically a project from 6 to the latest 6.0.10, the startup dialog claims font Source Sans Pro not found. Isn’t this supplied with Dorico?

What am I missing?

Have you checked to see if Source Sans Pro is listed as installed and enabled on your computer? (E.g. using a font utility app like Font Book on Mac; or seeing if it appears in the font menu of another app.)

The Missing Font dialog often tells you that you are only missing a particular style of the font, which might be something like Bold Condensed that you don’t have.

Its Regular, so I am puzzled. The dialog now, according to the notes, reports on missing styles as well as fonts and you can correct that, but Regular is not an extended style as far as I know.

Furthermore, it is supplied with Dorico 5, as I recall correctly, but it is not in the ProgramFiles/Steinberg/Fonts dir (Windows 11). Why?

Searching the forum, this issue with this font keeps popping up. What is that telling us?

You can download the font here:

Sure, I can get it from many sources. But this is a Dorico ‘system’ font. Why did this only go away with the Windows 6.0.10 update? This has only just started happening. Something wrong with this picture.

Curious. Deleted Dorico 6 app. Rebooted. Reinstalled using the Steinberg Download Assistant. All the fonts in question magically appeared. That’s good, but still a mystery.
