Is there any way to make the Voxengo Span plugin (free) show both audio spectra so I can compare them? My reference track + my track? (in Cubase 12)
I’ve seen that it’s possible in other DAWs, but I’m unable to replicate the steps shown in tutorials for other DAWs.
If it’s possible, can someone explain step by step what I need to do to have both audio spectra (with different colors) in a single instance of SPAN so I can compare the frequencies?
As far as I can tell, the multi-track feature is only available in the paid version.
Info from the Voxengo website:
SPAN Plus is an extended version of the freeware SPAN plugin: SPAN Plus provides several additional features such as PNG file export, real-time spectrum import/export for multi-track spectrum comparisons, static spectrums display, and a “wide” display mode.
What version of Cubase do you have? Check for the Curve EQ plugin. There you can take snapshots in the [Static & Match] page. Take a snapshot of e.g your reference to see it permanently in the background when you play your own track. Works best in Average modes.
