Speaker set up

Hi, I have 2 sets of speakers I want to use in my setup. I have some old JBL desk top speakers that plug in to the audio input in the pc sound card. I want to use them for general PC use like YouTube vids etc. I also have a pair of passive studio monitors that are linked to my Focusrite Scarlet. I want these to be used for my main DAWs and not have to keep switching in the Audio settings. Can anyone help with the set up please. Thanks

That should be possible. You would need an amplifier to drive your studio monitors. Set the onboard audio device in Windows settings as your device of choice and assuming your JBLs have a single 3.5mm connector, the plug that into the output of said device.

No problem. Since Cubase has an audio system that works independent of Windows you can select your Focusrite as the audio device in Cubase and your pc sound card as the device in Windows.

Sorted, thanks all. Working just fine now.
