Hello There,
Spectral Layers 11 Elements crashed Cubase 14, very high processor utilization despite new installation. Grayed out preset menus, No Preview available… annoying
I’m a bit confused by your message, first you say you’re running SpectraLayers One, yet you provide a message saying you’re running SpectraLayers Go.
Then you say it keeps running SpectraLayers One despite activating your SpectraLayers Elements license, and you provide a screenshot showing you’re running SpectraLayers Elements ?
Regarding no preview available: can you provide a screenshot with that option not being available ?
Can you also provide a screenshot of your Steinberg Activation Manager so I can see what SpectraLayers licenses are available and activated/deactivated ?
What’s your full computer configuration ? (CPU/ RAM/GPU/Windows version)
can press the preview button, but nothing is rendered, you can’t see that on a screenshot ;(
What’s strange is that SL One is addressed but an Elements version is started and the unmix vocals function is grayed out (can be seen in the screenshot above)
With the Unmix Song module preview doesn’t start immediately, it first need to precompute for 6-8 seconds before the preview starts, specially in high quality.
However it seems your CPU is too slow to handle realtime preview in High quality.
That being said, since you have a Radeon RX 6800 GPU, activate the GPU acceleration in Edit > Preferences > System > AI Processing Device, it’ll go much faster than you CPU.
Do you still have the message that says “SpectraLayers Go” ? It seems you’re properly running SpectraLayers Elements as I can see in your screenshots.
I’ve problem with Unmix Multiple Voices (SL11Pro). I select small part with voice, click Register voice, Preview, Apply then it’s separated ok.
But when I click Apply with a larger selected part (eg. 1 minute) or the whole file, it computes something quite quickly, but then it stops at some percent and even after a night I must Force Quit.
Hi Robin, would this feature work with a 4070 Ti Super? I’ve set this graphics card over as the favored GPU processor but sometimes I’m not certain if it’s working. I still get processor to slow messages . Apart from simply choosing the GPU as a favored processor, is there some other way to confirm whether it is being addressed for the preview function?
I’ve extracted some part and it does also and Cancel also can not be pressed:
Unmix Multiple Voices
Select 00:00:20:200 to 00:00:21:400 , Register Voice, Preview, Select All, Apply
It process everything here with your instructions…
That being said, Unmix Multiple Voices requires registering multiple voice profiles, it does not make sense to use it with only one voice profile. Plus your recording contains a lot of noise, and Unmix Multiple Voices is not designed to extract voice from noise, it is designed to unmix multiples voices when multiple voices are speaking.
Maybe what you’re looking for is Unmix Noisy Speech instead ?
