I installed the trial of SL Pro and among its additional options is “Extreme” mode for unmixing vocals from a track. The result IS better, although the stereo non-vocal track attenuates a fair amount during the portions from which the vocal has been extracted. Still, very usable and quite impressive. I’ll take your advice and try a few other apps, too. Thank you
