downloading now!
…another painless, easy update install process !

I look forward to getting to work

Why does SpectraLayers not show up under “Updates” in the SDA?

All other products do, SL not and this makes no sense. This was the case with the last updates and it is the case again today.

hmm - it was in my Updates…

Ugh, SDA is an avoid app for me

it seems to know so little

and I seldom launch the thing

I mean, my SDA is suggestion I update CuBase to the currently installed version

IMO, Steinberg site is simply a shop front/ distributor for SL…nothing more…so I don’t run these SB helper apps very often

I do see the latest version in the SDA when I click on the SL11 icon

ugh, preview on tools now with extremely sluggish performance on SL11.0.50 build 402

feels like SL standalone gonna crash…I may well go back to previous build which was working great for me for the most part

win10 22H2
build19045.5247

my machine is a little long in the tooth (almost 7 yrs old)
CPU rendering

oh man, I can’t roll back…I get an error with SL Elements help file issue…I might have to roll back to 11.0.00 and then go to 11.0.40…

oh my, now SL 11.0.50 build 402 will not not on my machine after trying to roll back…gonna hafta start over

ok, I just re-installed 11.0.50 build402
clone tool lag is abysmal for me
I’m rolling back to a previous version

My 11.0.40 installer is corrupted
I’ve just reverted back to 11.0.30 build 387

and I can fly with clone tool preview on with 11.0.30 build 387,
so @Robin_Lobel something not going right with 11.0.50 b402 as the preview on tools is so laggy I cannot work

I can cope with the “zoom to fit” bug no problem

win10 22H2

How about a new PC and a clean Windows 11 system?

Same here (Win 11).

@ctreitzell Unfortunately I’m not able to repro the clone stamp lag, even on an old laptop from 7 years ago… If you have a video showing the issue (whole screen), comparing the clone stamp speed with the eraser tool speed, that could help.

Trying to assign “Bildlauf” (using the german version) to the standard mouse wheel action to mimic Cubase’s mouse wheel behaviour. Unfortunately it doesn’t do anything. “Bildlauf (invertierte Achsen)” however works correctly.

@ColdSteel “Bildlauf” (Scroll) will scroll the display vertically (following the physical wheel orientation of your mouse). If you have a bidimensional trackpad, it will both scroll horizontally and vertically, following the physical scrolling actions on the trackpad.

Using “Bildlauf (invertierete Achsen)” (Scroll, inverted axes) will invert the horizontal and vertical axes. So scrolling vertically with your mouse wheel will scroll the display horizontally. If you have a bidimensional trackpad, it will invert your vertical and horizontal scrolling movements.

that would take some time

could you just point me to the 11.0.40 last update build installer? because mine is corrupted

I will endeavour to make a video…altho, this would require a LOT of jumping thru hoops my end

what does this mean? are you telling me to buy a new computer? or are you saying you have the same issue with Clone Stamp lag?

I don’t have 5K to drop on a new computer at this time

Hi @ctreitzell I reuploaded 11.0.40 windows installer here

I see, thanks! The issue however still is that I cannot invert the horizontal scroll direction and therefore cannot mimic Cubase’s mouse wheel behaviour. It would be great if you can have exactly the same mouse wheel settings as in Cubase + an invert function for users of other DAWs.
