Forgive me, but is this the same .70 update I downloaded in May?

Confusing!

Thanks,

check the build number

I’ll be sticking with 11.0.40 build 395 for the time being

It confused me too.
I just reinstalled it - and can confirm it is the same SpectraLayers 11.0.70 (Build 406)

@Luis_Dongo: Since .70 crashed my Cubase 14 Pro in ARA mode, I would very much appreciate it if you/Steinberg/@Robin_Lobel could take a look at my thread here, and tell me if it is now safe for me to install .70.

I posted this days ago, but haven’t had any response at all.

Best,

Magnus

well, I take that back…I have just installed 11.0.70 build406…I’ll see how I go…if I experience slow downs/ lagging like I was getting with 11.0.60, I’ll screen record to present the differences I see

I had done that, thank you. Hence the question.

Download manager does not show me an update.

yeah, like I said with 11.0.60; with transfer brush/ clone stamp I’m getting annoyingly noticeable lag when moving the mouse as compared with 11.0.40

@Robin_Lobel I don’t think it would show up on a video as much as it is the feel of the mouse speed/ response. I have spent a fair bit of time tuning my mouse (SteelSeries Rival 110) sensitivities and have a comfortable feel in 11.0.40 which feels quite delayed in 11.0.70…so I’m probably gonna roll back to 11.0.40.

I will say my brush preview is set to 0.2 M samples and often my brush size is between 70-140 pixels. Further, to attempt to better explain, when the brush passes from the spectrogram viewport into the waveform (hand) and then up to mouse pointer, this lag is accentuated…and then really shows up when dragging the mouse back down into the spectrogram viewport…the brush just really lags when it animates back to being a brush from the hand

again: Windows 10 Pro OS Build 19045.5854

yeah, since 11.0.50, mouse seems to somewhat snap to parts of the SL UI (menu buttons, envelope lines, layers in rhs panel, etc) in a different manner than 11.0.40 and previous.

I could see that meaning I need to go back into resetting my mouse controls again…but that is so time consuming, where 11.0.40 just works great for me

Thanks for investigating, I’ll have a deeper look at the changes between 0.40 and 0.50

Thanks Robin, deeply appreciated

I will say, so far, I have stuck with using 0.70

I have the whole 90 film now to go through again with SL and clean up notable issues I let slip through the first time around (mainly low freq bumps)
