hi, I have been experiencing some crashes with BOTH Studio One 7 Pro and Pro Tools Intro 2024.10. It happens when I attempt to load a song in Studio One 7. and also In Pro Tools Intro… I have already gone through a support ticket with Presonus and they pointed out that “The crash is related to the Qt6CoreSL.dll and this is related to Spectralayers” and that i create a ticket with you guys.

Please uninstall SpectraLayers, remove its VST3 plugin manually, then install SpectraLayers 11.0.60.405-rc1 (macOS installer/Windows installer) and let me know.

I’ve already tried to uninstall Spectralayers 11 Elements via the Revo uninstaller and installed it again, it’s still having the same issues with BOTH Studio One 7 Pro & Pro Tools Intro. (no support with this version) I was able to get around it with PT by isolating the Spectralayers AAXplugin from the AAX folder. What triggers the crash is when I open up a song file in both these programs. I’ve also went through a support ticket with Presonus and they stated it has something to do with Qt6CoreSL.dll. would you think it’s a display driver issue? I have the latest installed which is Graphics Driver 31.0.101.2134 for 7th-10th Gen Intel® Core™ Processor Graphics.
Make sure to manually delete the AAX and VST3 plugins before installing the special version I linked above, it’s important for proper cleanup.
What happens when you run SpectraLayers in standalone mode, from the start menu ? Can you open an audio file and play it ?
Also please upload some logs here (open SpectraLayers standalone, click Help > Support Infos > Logs Folder).

it’s just a thought but there’d be some kind of PNG file located within the spectralayers installation folder that isn’t set to a correct sRGB profile

I just uninstalled Spectralayers V 11 via Revo uninstaller again and decided this time to install the Previous version 10.0.5, and it works…
Can you open a terminal, and type C:\Program Files\Steinberg\SpectraLayers 11\Win64\SpectraLayers.exe -debug
Then after it crashes, please paste here the content of the latest log file. This should give a more precise indication of the moment it crashes. Thanks !
I’m deciding to stick with Spectralayers 10.0.5 as it works… so I’ll close this and wait for the next Spectralayers 11 version to come out… untill then… thanks
I decided to go back to troubleshooting this issue & re-install Spectralayers 11.0.6.405 … did that command prompt and opened up the crash.dmp file with WinDbg… this is what it returned

What you can try is launching
C:\Program Files\Steinberg\SpectraLayers 11\Win64\SpectraLayers.exe -reset
