Additional attempt with the same song but live, from the album “Under a Blood Red Sky”
It takes a very long time… “Estimating” says up to 1 hour and 50 minutes. I’m waiting to see if it might suddenly be faster. At 25% it’s half an hour later… I give up. Cancel.
During the processes, the GPU was using about 90-100%. The CPU was using about 10-15%, sometimes peaking at 30-40%.
Uninstall SpectraLayers 12.0.40
(Re)Install SpectraLayers 12.0.10
Again…
Sunday Bloody Sunday - U2, from the album “War”.
Imported and converted to 48kHz/24bit in Cubase 14, and added the SpectraLayers object extension.
Unmix Song (High): Vocals + Drums + Bass + Guitar (+ Other): Finished after 13 minutes.
During this process, the GPU and CPU were alternating repeatedly and regularly. 15% per cycle the GPU was loaded at about 90-100%, and the CPU was loaded at about 75% for the remaining 85% of a cycle.
Unmix Chorus: Finished in a minute.
Unmix Drums: Finished after 3 minutes.
Conclusion: I’ll stick with SpectraLayers 12.0.10 for now.
I’m enjoying the improvements to the Clone Stamp tool
and I always appreciate how easy SLP is to update to latest version (of course by DLing from the support area direct to my machine; none of silly SB activation or DL manager)
You have a 3 GB graphics card. For SpectraLayers 12, a DirectX 11 compatible graphics card is the minimum requirement, but a DirectX 12 card with at least 8 GB of VRAM is recommended for optimal AI processing performance.
My old video card works fine with 12.0.10. This hasn’t been the case since 12.0.20. So the problem isn’t with my video card, but with a code change.
I am having an issue with Spectralayers 12. The Additive Selection Tool mode is NOT working at all when trying to select multiple marker regions to edit at the same time? I am on a Mac Mini M4 PRo and runnning Spectralayers in standalone mode. Is there some glitch?
