My SpectraLayers Pro 10 has disappeared from my Cubase Pro 13. In the menu Audio, the Extension choice is not even there. I took care of selecting an audio event before tempting to open it. The standalone version of SpectraLayers Pro 10 opens without problem though. I have the last version of both software.
I suspect the problem is with the System settings in the Device menu of SpectraLayers. Am I wrong? What are your choices on this menu?
Thank you for your help.

Just try to reinstall it. If that’s not enough, fully remove the VST3 plugin of SpectraLayers in your VST3 folder, and reinstall SpectraLayers.

The reinstallation worked. But after working on my project for about ten minutes, I got an instability message and a prompt to save my project. I’ll see how things evolve over time…
Now the De-Esser does nothing (in ARA mode in Cubase Pro 13). I’ll try to reinstall SpectraLayers Pro 10. This time I would like, and I quote you Robin to «fully remove the VST3 plugin of SpectraLayers in your VST3 folder, and reinstall SpectraLayers.», but I don’t have a VST3 folder… Quid?
You have a VST3 folder, it’s located in C:\Program Files\Common Files\VST3
( https://helpcenter.steinberg.de/hc/fr/articles/115000177084-VST-plug-in-locations-on-Windows ).
Yes uninstall, remove SpectraLayers VST3 if it’s still in the VST3 folder, install again.

What do you know… I made a final attempt to de-ess this morning and it worked!
Go figure…
I spotted the VST3 folder thank you Robin and I will wait to see the stability of the software.
A few questions however: in Edit-Preferences-Devices menu, what are the optimal settings (forgetting SpectraLayers Bridge which I think is reserved for ProTools users)? The manual is silent on this.
Currently, Type is set to WASAP, and Input and Output are set to System Input and System Output by default. In addition, the Buffer size is 25 milliseconds.
Are there specific settings depending on whether you use the software in standalone or ARA mode?
Et merci pour votre aide Robin, c’est très très apprécié.

Yes, SpectraLayers Bridge is only for Pro Tools.
If the WASAPI device works for you in standalone, then keep it that way
That’s what I recommend if you don’t need ASIO.
In ARA mode, none of this applies (and the Device tab is not visible), it’s all handled by the host (Cubase).
Avec plaisir !
