Were you using that icon to launch SL? If so, this was probably an icon created when you installed SL as admin, and it wasn’t deleted when uninstalling.

I just gave a quick step by step in response to a post someone made about it being to difficult to activate the license. The short version is: Copy your download access code from the confirmation email > log in to your steinberg.net account > Click the big red button asking for the activation code > paste it in the pop up > open activation manager to make sure it updates > Open SL9
