Installed the V8 trial. When in stand alone mode program will freeze after this work flow.

Adjust amplitude
Press Play
Press Stop
Press Play
Program Freezes
Use Task Manager to force Quit
Repeat x10
Throw computer out the window…
Maybe not that last part but it gets very close.
When used in Cubase via ARA it bogs down the session even when only applied to 1 track. Session is small, only 9 tracks.
Any thoughts?

Can you upload here the log files located in %APPDATA%\Steinberg\SpectraLayers 8.0\logs ? (you can also access them through Help > Support Info > Logs Folder)
Are you using ASIO or WASAPI ? If using ASIO, did you try WASAPI ?
I’ll Paste the log file here, it won’t allow me to attach a TEXT file. I do not have a WASAPI device. I see the option for one in the driver dropdown but nothing populates in the device dropdown.

@ericmusicstrasbourg I thought your problem was when assigning SpectraLayers, not when playing/stopping/playing ?
So, still having the same problems 9 days later. Glad I did the trial first and didn’t spend money on it…
Maybe V9 will work for me. Will give that one a go when the trial becomes available.

v8 and v9 version need w10 21h2.
when I install this version with the latest drivers for each device, the system crashes. in version 7 of spectralayer no problem… I don’t understand. version 9 interests me a lot but I will wait to understand the problem.
in any case I note a loss of performance which is not logical. with a ryzen9 5900x and 64 giga in 3600mhz the computer should be super fluid as before

I bought a new nvme disk and installed w10 21h2. everything works wonderfully the machine works with incredible performance and without crashes

You need windows 10 version 21h2 for nuendo and spectralayer.
it’s written on the steinberg site. since the reinstallation of my system in 21 H2 everything works. before I had several crashes
