Spitfire Orchestra -Discover looks veird

If you don’t know it, the Spitfire Orchestra - Discover is free for downloading and installing. No problems there. But when I started Kontakt 7 (you’ll need that) and load for exampel the brass ensemble, the Spitfire interface looks like this:

and no sound when I press the piano keys. Anyone knows anything about this?

Regards/ Lars

It seems it is running in demo mode. Are you sure there are no other components to install?

I bought a choir from 8DIO ages ago and I had the same problem with that particular VSTi, which needed additional skin installations, and without them it looked exactly like that…

You have to run Native Access and input the serial number you received by email with the “Add Serial” function in it to register your copy.

It should be available as a library in Kontakt after that.

The best practice for libraries you cannot download directly from Native Instruments is to add them first to Native Access with the serial provided, then locate the contents.

Now it works! As paka and BrunoDSL wrote I inserted the serial number in Native Access but that didn’t solve the problem. But when I started Native Acces again, I could choose to accept Spitfire Orchestra in Native Access and the it all worked out well. I then started Cubase 15, chose Studio/VST Plugin Manager and chose destination of Spirfire Orchestra folder. And that’s it! Now it works fine. And Spitfire Orchestra Discover is free  Thank you, guys!

The way I installed mine was:

  • I inserted the serial number provided
  • Clicked the “refresh” button that sits on the top right
  • I got a notification that a new product was available.
  • The entry had a “Locate” button instead of “Install,” so I installed it using the Spitfire App to the where all my Spitfire libraries are installed by default.
  • Once that was done, I went to Native Acess, clicked on “Locate” then pointed Native Access to the folder where SO Discover was downloaded.

Apart from the serial number entry, this is how you would “reinstate” your installed libraries in case you move the folder where they are installed, back it up or similar.
