When the Splice desktop app isn’t loaded, the rent-to-own plugins can’t find license info, and cuts audio completely, without a warning etc. (In my case, Ozone 8)
If you have a channel suddenly without audio, this may be the reason.
(Splice app eats CPU like crazy for no reason, that’s why I force quit it all the time)
