You could try reducing your note spacing via Layout Options–Note Spacing. You could also reduce the Space Size, via the same location (Layout Options–Page Setup).
Make the staff size a bit smaller in layout mode.
Trying to force more notes onto a system is usually a bad idea - even in Dorico Pro where there you have the options to do it.
Or, choose a less ornate font for your instrument names, which takes up a less horizontal space
