“Auto Split Stereo to Two Mono Tracks” (ala Pro Tools)
Can we please add this feature to the 9.5 Wishlist? It is so incredibly useful, and such a time saver. Dragging a Stereo file on to two Mono tracks in Cubase 9 doesn’t quite do the same thing. It seems to only convert the track into the L mono Channel.
Steinberg please add this!

Probably not as easy but, until this gets incorporated you could use the “Split Channels” function found in the Export Audio Mixdown>Audio Engine Output menu.

+1. Been wanting this feature forever! The split channels function gets the job done, but having the drag/drop/split integration would be a great time saver.

+1 I consider this to be a basic audio operation - used to do it in Sonar all the time. I often receive rough cuts with temp track on one channel and other audio on the other. Yes, I can separate the channels on import if I have the preference set to bring up import options but if I miss that it’s a pita.

On export to OMF would not hurt either. Seems ProTools does not support OMF import of stereo tracks(if not recently).
I know both Samp and Sonar has a simple checkbox to split any stereo tracks.
