splitting stereo tracks mono tracks

hey, was wondering if anyone could help me. I need to split some stereo tracks into two separate mono tracks to allow for more manipulating. has anyone had any experience with doing this?

Export, check boxes to Split Channels and Import into Project, Pool and Audio Track.

Obviously in the file path options select “Use Project Audio Folder”
