Sprectralayers ARA in Cubase, reduce memory

After doing de-mix on a 3 min wav file and some noise reduction. The Cubase file is now 400MB in size. I remove the audio tracks once I do not need them anymore, anything else I need to do to make the Cubase file normal size again?
SL11, C Pro 13. Win 10.

I always remove the SL extension from any event that has been processed, then resave the project with a new (incremental) name. The new project should be more normal in size. I then delete the “bloated” cpr.

Normally it will suffise to make the Extension permanent for the original Part and the SL created Parts in Cubase. Then you can save as usual, the extra material will be saved outside the .cpr file. No need to save as, or incremental.
