I don’t want to be picky but it seems that in the attached example, the inferior notes in the same voice are not played staccato in the playback. Maybe I’m wrong and my old ears tricked me, but I would like someone do the test.

By inferior, do you mean the notes below? The C and the F in the bass?

Turn on voice colors (View—Voice Colors). Are all notes in the same voice?
If so, the staccato should certainly affect playback equally for all notes in the chord.
Yes same color, same voice. Those notes don’t «sound» like playing.

My only suggestion would be to check playback options. The timing values for staccato notes might be set too long. But that setting should be fine by default, unless it was changed.
I dit what you suggested and have fixed staccato notes to 25%. Wayyyyy better in the playback!
