Working on a large opera, migrated from Finale.
Score looks fine now and (unlike in Finale) all songs of the first act are in one document as individual flows.
Started working through the parts and I like how instruments are properly tacet-ed and instrumental parts are 99% as I want them.
But the vocal parts give me a headache. There are sections with big chunks of spoken text which I added as staff-attached-text to the singers’ staff. No problem in the score, Dorico gives the text room, no text bumping into music. This works also in the parts… as long as the staff-attached-text is NOT in the first line of music of its flow (see attachments). As soon as I start mucking around with vertical spacing of staves on the parts page to make room above the first staff things get hairy. So far I have not figured out a way to het this done right. Am I missing a Dorico setting or is that one of the fringe situations?
