Stage template problem

I’m trying to apply a stage template to an existing project (Stephen Taylors wonderful Dorico file of Strawinskys Rite of Spring), but when I drag the instruments this happens:

??

That suggests that all of those instruments are on the same MIDI channel of the same device. Try reapplying one of the factory playback templates so that you can be sure each instrument will be assigned to its own slot in its own instance of HALion Sonic.

I changed the template from NP to Halion, and that helped - sort of… - some instruments are still squashed.
It a very big score with 58 staves, and it uses 5 instances of NP ( or now Halion)
If I then change back to NP all instruments in the stage template are gone. Not so strange because NP only sends 2 channel to Dorico mixer.
If I then change to Halion I get the stage template back, but again with some instruments squashed

NotePerformer isn’t compatible with the Live Stage and Live Space – that’s why they’re turned off by default when using NotePerformer. NotePerformer has it own mixer, and has its own handling for instruments in the stereo field, so it isn’t needed to muck about with the Live Stage in Dorico.

Seems like the same behavior as here:

It is, but for different reasons. NotePerformer only uses a single audio output, so by definition all instruments will appear in the same position in the Live Stage, as explained.

This is what I get when applying the orchestra stage template:

They can be separated, though. The score has 58 instruments divided among 5 Halion instances.
