Starting Cubase Essential 5 [Newbie]

I will apologize in advance. I was given Cubase Essential 5 and a Zoom H2 digital recorder/microphone. I haven’t been able able to figure out how to record. I used to use Cubase LE and whenever I plugged in the H2 Cubase automatically recognized it and away I went recording, even overdubbing parts. Now that I have Cubase Essential 5, I can’t figure it out. I hope someone out there has the time and patience to walk me through this.

Device setup, select the correct ASIO driver. Devices-VST Connections set up the correct input and output buses.
