Steinberg Activation Manager sign in not working

Hello,

I am currently experiencing an issue where I am unable to log in to the Steinberg Activation Manager. (Windows 10)

I have already tried the following steps:

  1. Installed the latest versions of Activation Manager and Download Assistant

  2. Changed the default web browser to both Chrome and Edge

  3. Reinstalled the software

  4. Disabled Windows Firewall

  5. Turned off all antivirus programs

  6. Changed DNS server settings

Despite trying all of the above, the issue remains completely unresolved.

Additionally, I have found that several other users are experiencing the same problem in the forum, yet there does not seem to be a clear or definitive solution provided.

For your reference, please note the following:

  • I am able to log in to the Steinberg official website without any issues

  • I am also able to log in to the Steinberg Download Assistant

  • License codes can be entered and recognized without any problems

  • However, I am unable to log in to the Activation Manager, which prevents me from using the software

This leads me to ask:

Why has there been no proper resolution for this issue so far?

And more importantly,
What is the correct and permanent solution for this problem?

Am I expected to continue using offline activation as a workaround indefinitely?

I would greatly appreciate a clear and reliable solution to this issue.

Thank you.

I have the exact same problem as of today. Never experienced anything like it. I cannot use cubase even!!!

Hi @Yongseok_Kim and @Shwan_Jaff ,
are you able to log into Activation Manager on a different machine? Maybe this has something to do with security settings. Have you tried to open the Activation Manager with admin rights by any chance?

Hello, Reco.

Yes, I am currently using Cubase via offline activation by logging in from another laptop.
Additionally, I have tried running the program with administrator privileges, but the issue still persists.

I sincerely hope that Steinberg will address and resolve this issue.
Considering the price of the software, I believe this kind of inconvenience should be improved.

I have spent a significant amount of time trying to troubleshoot this problem.
Furthermore, I have noticed that this issue has been reported multiple times in the forum, yet it still does not seem to have been properly resolved.

Thank you for your reply.

@Yongseok_Kim Could you collect a diagnostic report from Steinberg Activation Manager and PM it to me?

Hello Ben,

I have shared the requested file via direct message.

Thank you.

What seemingly worked out for me since activation manager would not respond was to changed the chrome browser which was set as default to explorer. There where no change in response after explorer was set as default browser however after I changed it back chrome again. I was finally able to log in.
