Steinberg de esser in channel strip

I’ve become a fan of the Steinberg de esser.

Does anyone know if the de esser in the channel strip is the same as the plug-in?

You don’t get to initiate the GUI in the channel strip as you do with the compressors so I am not sure.

Fairly sure it’s the same but the strip plugins have no lookahead functionality.

The lack of “look ahead” functionality makes sense to me being that none of the channel strip modules seem to add any latency.
