Hello everyone,
I upgraded to Absolute 6 a few days ago, but I’m having major problems downloading the individual components using the Steinberg Download Assistant (=SDA). The latest version 1.35.0 is installed.
Firstly, the download is extremely slow (well below 1 MB/sec), which I could live with (in order to get the files installed at all), but the program froze regularly.
I then had to close it using the MS Task Manager. After that, it wouldn’t open again and I had to reboot the PC .(Just logging out of Windows and back on did not help)
All previous download process (i.e. the files that showed in the corresponding download prior to reboot) was gone and I had to start downloading from scratch each time)
I then uninstalled and reinstalled the SDA once. That didn’t help either.
But now that I’ve uninstalled and reinstalled it for the second time, I cannot open the SDA any more at all. (i.e. clicking on the icon or clicking twice on the .exe file has no effect.
What can I do?
BTW: I’m currently living in SG, but that shouldn’t have any influence, correct? (Downloading non-Steinberg software (e.g. Native Instruments via Native Access) works quickly (thanks to the 5G network) and smoothly.
Any help would be appreciated. I want to use the software that I bought after all
