Steinberg Download Assistant Complaint

Hello,

This is mostly a complaint rather then a request for a help.

The Steinberg Download Assistant is TERRIBLE. I am trying to install 10.35. I can’t get it to install. I get different errors every single time I try to install it. I tried pretty much everything I could find on the Steinberg Forums and the rest of the internet and it still won’t install.

I used to work with Cubase 10.5 and I was going to upgrade to 13. Wanted to try the Free Trial but the Download Assistant won’t work.

Steinberg, your products should work without having to troubleshoot it. I can install literally anything else on my Windows 11 PC and I have zero issues. Again, I tried troubleshooting in SO MANY different ways, but it just won’t work. Absolutely crazy.

The goal of this complaint is to give Steinberg feedback in that solely because of this nonsense with the Download Assistant, I will be moving to a different provider. I have installed two other DAWs to try out already, and both of them had zero issues installing and working.

That is your first problem, since there is no such product in existence.

Okay. I guess by 10.35 you actually meant 10.5. You don’t specify which version (LE,AI,Elements,Artist,Pro), but I don’t think it matters much. Other than Artist and Pro requiring the USB-eLicenser …

If you actually want help, you need to go about the search in a more constructive fashion.

Try here. I only ever use the SDA if there’s no other choice. (It looks as if it’s in German, but it’s actually in English. For me.)
