Hello, this is an issue I’ve been wrestling with for a few weeks now, I finally gave up and decided to post my issue here on the forum…
I haven’t used Cubase 11 for a while, can’t say exactly how much time. About a month ago I wanted to get back into working with it, but when I launched the program it became obvious that all my library files were gone. Thankfully my projects are backed up.
I then tried to open SDA, but as soon as I tried launching it, two messages popped up:
- “failed to create jvm”
- “failed to launch jvm”
I’ve tried every suggested solution I saw on the forums, official sites etc:
- Reinstalling SDA and JAVA
- Tried to run an older version of SDA
- Checking the default download folder on Windows Explorer
- Running the app using the .jar file from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steinberg\Download Assistant\app
I’m running the latest versions of Windows 10 and Java.
I have a Ryzen based system:
Ryzen 5 3600X
Nvidia GTX 1660 Ti
16gb ddr4 ram
250 gb m.2 ssd
I have the log file here:
