I’m having this exact same issue, have tried all of the above, except chrome and still no joy, opened a ticket…
Managed to get it working by changing the default browser to Edge, logged in with that and have not gone back to my previous browser which seems to be working now.
As MANY others have said, WHY do you insist on making things stupidly convoluted for paying customers? It’s beyond paranoia and it needs sorting out!!

I have the same problem on Mac. A web page in the Steinberg site asks me to authorize Steinberg Download Assistant, by launching Steinberg Web Launcher. I confirm, and nothing happens.
Any idea?

Same problem here on Monterey on Mac. I launch Steinberg Download assistant, I log in, and then I get the “Safari can’t open tis page cause the address is invalid” message… didn’t try on Chrome yet …
but on Brave nothing changes …
Also having this problem now, trying to update to Dorico Pro 5.1.81 on my Mac
