Hi Dear All,
Recently, I updated my computer and reinstall the Cubase 12 and Steinberg Activation Manager. Today, when I opened the SAM, it showed ‘Steinberg License Engine is Not Responding.’ I don’t know how to fix it. I rebooted the computer several times, but it didn’t work. My computer is a 2021 Macbook Pro 16’, 64GB, 2T, Ventura 13.5.1, Apple M1 Max. Anyone can help me with this issue? Thanks in advance!!
Also, I have a USB license when I bought the Cubase 11. Will the USB license still work for using Cubase? I mean, I want to use my Cubase 12 offline.
Thanks!!!
I’m not a licence specialist, far from it, but the first thing I would try is to update SAM from either here or with the Steinberg Download Assistant, install it as administrator and relaunch it.
Beside this, sadly no : the USB eLicenser will only allow you to use Cubase 11 and below versions, as Cubase 12 precisely rely on the new Steinberg Licensing scheme with SAM associated…
If you are running the latest version of the Steinberg Activation Manager (1.4.40) there is now a command to collect diagnostic information.
If you could do that and post the diagnostic file here then I can take a look.
Thank you so much for your reply. I reinstall the Steinberg Activation Manager, right now, and it works!!
Thank you so much!! You answered my question!!
I’m having this same issue and have downloaded version 1.5, but it didn’t help. Any help greatly appreciated.
