Steinberg License Fail: Restart Your Computer (BUT WHY?)

Everything is working perfectly, windows and my internet. I was installing some new instruments so I had to close and open Cubase 12 some times, then BOOM! No libraries found message on PADSHOP, "look into Activation Manager. There I go. There is the message “Restart You Computer”. It already happened thousand times, I restart PC and it works again.

But I just want to understand, WHY STEINBERG? Why restarting the PC??? Does this activation engine has something to do with the motherboard? the bios? wtf??? why do we need to restart the pc just to make a software work again?? It’s annoying, breaks the workflow, consumes your time and mind

Be careful you don’t run out of question marks.

You can kill the Licensing Engine process too from the Task Manager, Process Explorer. I would certainly not expect that detail to be in this dialog window.

it was the adrenaline of the moment man sorry haha. Thanks I’ll do it next time it happens, anyways is still something to be fixed in my opinion. To kill it from task manager certainly would not be in that dialog neither the manual.

heh.

I saw this a long while back, btw, but have not seen it for a while, so I’ll suggest making sure everything is up to date, Windows OS inclusive.
