Me too. I had to remove Yamaha Basic Suite FX so I could be completely dongle-free.

For clarity:

  • The DSP FX in the audio interface don’t need, and cannot see any license.

  • It is strictly the VST software plugins that require a license.

  • It makes no difference if the VST plugins are installed or not, the DSP in the hardware works without them and has no awareness of whether any plugins are installed or instantiated in the host daw.
