steinberg power scheme

is there a reason this isn’t enabled by default - I do seem to remember somebody saying that it wasn’t needed. My system runs much better in turbo mode and doesn’t seem to overheat.

any reason not to use it ?

As far as I remember, it simply tweaks Windows’ power saving scheme to not save power at all. You’ll get exactly the same result if you use the Windows preset for maximum power and disable the few options that are still on by hand.

Agreed that you could set up your own power profile and use that but seems to work well for me on win7. Just wondered why default had changed, possibly a win8 thing as you say ?
