Steinberg USB Driver Default Format issues

I am not sure if this is where I should be posting as this is my first post. I have installed the USB driver 1.9.9 and I am unable to select the Default Format. It is stuck at 24 bit, 44.1 Studio Quality. In order for Tidal to work properly it needs to be set at 16 bit, 44.1 CD quality. Does anyone know if this can be adjusted? The driver works fine with Foobar and other apps, just not with streaming HiFi on Tidal.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Which specific Steinberg audio interface do you have?
What operating system and version are you running on your computer?

I have a Yamaha A-S801 amp with the built in DAC. I have Windows 10 64bit and the latest 1.9.9 USB driver installed.

Also, do you know if there will be an update at anytime for MQA support?

Many thanks.

For my Yamaha 01v96 and windows 7 64bit i i had to install with the hidden administrator account to get YSUB 1.9.8 installed, and change a registry key’s permissions manually, somewhere in Local Machine, probably to do with the GUI of the YSUB driver.

Added information … just made a fresh install of windows 10, and all 1.9.9 drivers installed OK … -F
