When can we expect the release of this recently announced update to Nuendo and Cubase?
What was shown at the Game Developers Conference was a prototype. There have been no official announcements yet, but I wouldn’t expect to see this before Cubase 10 is released in Q4 2018.
Seems a bit far. Since Nuendo is way behind Cubase that’d definitely put VR for Nuendo, the post-app, in 2019. I doubt they’d show this feature this far ahead.

You’re right, I had missed this video with Stephan Schütze:
He mentions that we’ll see incremental releases of this functionality over the next 12 months. I’m not sure if this means that it will be added to Nuendo 8 for free or if Nuendo 9 will be released a little earlier than anticipated, which sounds unlikely considering how they’re planning to add Cubase 9.5’s features to Nuendo 8 for free in May.
