The Grace period is from one major release to the next higher release. So from Dorico 5 to Dorico 6 would be a grace period, not from Elements to Pro in the same Release.
I should have waited to buy pro now instead of elements earlier
Hi Matthias
I have zero vouchers showing up in my account? I own Nuendo Pro 12 was looking for the loyalty voucher to upgrade to 13. I have been a cubase user since Cubase 3.1. I own Halion 7 WavLab 5 WavLab 11.2 elements Groove agent 5. Backbone. Is there a loyalty upgrade to Nuendo 13 pro as advertised on the front page?
As he posted earlier, Nuendo just had a sale in May, it is not part of this deal. The deals for Nuendo 13 users are the same as everyone else, new licenses for the current versions of Cubase/Absolute/Dorico/Wavelab.
This isn’t the upgrade sale…
I just bought HALION 7 for $175 with sale last month.
Absolute 6 is $150 with sale and it includes HALION 7.
Will steinberg give any kind of exchanges.?
Thanks i totally read that wrong oops
How is this a loyalty offer. I have been with Steinberg for years and have virtually all the products at full versions excepting Dorico.
So presumably that’s the only product I could get a discount on.
The word “rebate” in the uk equates to refund but this clearly is not the intention here.
As someone else has commented the more loyal you are the less you are assisted. This new marketing presentation simply feels like a slap in the face for many loyal customers owning full versions and they can’t even use the vouchers to buy a second licence. This loyal customer again feels extremely disappointed by this marketing technique
What would have been valuable is making available a discounted coupon for upgrading to the next Cubase version for long-term users.
Likely that this doesn’t reward people who have stuck by Steinberg significantly at any period during these 40 years.
Mostly just for new customers.
Must have been before the rebate on Halion. I did not see the rebate on Nuendo. I even did not get a voucher to transfer it from the usb licenser to steinberg licensing. Perhaps I am the only one but it doesnt feel right on a such big celebration announcement not to include the flagship. I don
t suppose there is a way to help those like me?
Hi Dave, you do have voucher codes for the loyalty rebate on Cubase Pro, WaveLab Pro, Absolute and Dorico Pro in your account. So you should be able to purchase all of those with the loyalty rebate. But I get what you are saying. We will discuss this with the team.
Hi,
I’ve got wavelab 12 elements but can’t see it on my vouchers upgrade.
I also cannot see Cubase 13 pro or halion 7.
I can see all the old stuff like Cubase 12 in the vouchers but nothing else.
Hello @Matthias_Quellmann !
I do have a WaveLab 12 Elements license into my account and I would be interested in upgrading to Pro, if there is an appealing price. Could you tell me what is the price for this kind of upgrade, please? Also, could you help me find the loyalty voucher? I just checked my Vouchers section of my account, but there is nothing WaveLab related over there. Thanks in advance!
Later edit - after reading several user complaints regarding this sale, I think I have finally understood what was going on. The vouchers are intended only to those owning the most recent Pro version of the listed products. In the meanwhile yesterday I purchased a WaveLab 11.2 Elements license just to access the vouchers. No joy, so today I purchased the update to 12 Elements while hoping to get the voucher, but still nothing. What a disappointment then, when I have finally understood that the 12 Elements license was still another purchase in vain! Ok, you managed to trick me this time. I will stick with the loss of money but I will never purchase the WaveLab Pro upgrade anymore because of this misleading sale you put up! Never.
Hi, I think I feel the same. I do have Cubase pro 13, Absolute and made severall purchases before buying absolute. For example FM lab, Groove Agent, Eletrical Bass, witch are all included in Absolute 6.
Even bought the Pro drums etc…
I was enthousiastic reading about the ‘rebate’, meaning getting some cash back on my account, but reading this forum I realise it is a marketing strategie to sell moren products witch aren’t owned allready.
For existing costumers it is like a celebration party american style, you have to bring your own drinks.
Hope you and the team will find some way to involve the existing owners in this ones in a life time party
Keep up the good work with the lovely Steinberg software!
Unfortunately as I say I have Full versions of Cubase Pro 13, WaveLab 12 Halion 7 etc so virtually nothing in the marketing really for a proven loyal customer over the years, So a poor effort by the Steinberg Marketting gurus on this campaign and how the references to “loyalty” used in it could alienate your actual loyal customer base.
David
Hi Matthias,
Talking about loyalty and long term customer. I am with Steinberg from 1986 Pro 24. Went thru many upgrades, updates. Now on august 6 I updated from Cubase 12 to 13 for 99.99 euros. Now its for 49,99 euros in this campaign. I’d expected a voucher of 50 euros since its only three weeks ago I updated. Cant you do a 73 years old musician on pension a favor? I hate to beg but money is just so damn nowadays. Cheers.
Willem
Hi @emanuelsj, we were really not trying to trick anyone. We tried to be really precise with the description of the loyalty rebate. That’s what is stated on the promotion page:
“As a special thank you to our loyal customers, those with an activated Cubase Pro 13 , Dorico Pro 5 , WaveLab Pro 12 , or Nuendo 13 license in their Steinberg user account will also enjoy exclusive loyalty rebates on selected products in the Steinberg Online Shop during the promotion period.”
Hi @AndreLorenzatti,
The sale ends on September 25th, but the voucher for the loyalty rebate will remain in your user account until October 9th. We just want to make sure that also customers who purchase on the last day of the promotion still have the chance to make use of their vouchers.
Is there any way to change the price to USD$? as € is high on my currency and also with the VAT
Hi Matthias
I already own all the Steinberg products listed as Loyalty offers. I would therefore consider myself to be in the potentially ‘most loyal’ category of customer. Can you understand my confusion when I realise that there are no offerings for me ?
