Stems, rhythm dots & glissandi lines

Hi there

So far Dorico has been a revelation! It’s so quick and handy!
Here’s where I’m stuck:
When creating glissandi lines passing over stems, I can’t seem to find a way to make the stem touch the line without the rhythm dot cluttering on it.

There’s no vertical adjustment for rhythm dots or hiding them (where I could add an extra note above the hidden one, and hide it together with its dot).

Is there a way of achieving this?

There’s no automatic way, no. I suspect your best bet would be to make that note undotted, and then hide the 16th rest that will appear between the now undotted eighth and the following 16th using Edit > Remove Rest.

Thank you for your answer Daniel.

I’ll go with the second version of my two pics.
If I omit the dots (in other cases as well) the correct durations won’t show.
Also, to analyse the dots in stemmed durations becomes too noisy for the eye unfortunately.

Anyway, maybe Dorico should think of adding a vertical movement property for the dots!

Best,
M.
