Stenberg when can we expect Cubase 12?

I’m currently doing a project, and I need cubase 12 - Dont wont to use protools to edit the drums… PLEASE STEINY!!! Make it rain!!!

Do you really think it’s a good idea to change to a new major release of a daw during a project? I’ve seen so many complaints in user forums like "I’m in the middle of a project and I have a timeline and now the new release of {put in any Software brand name} is messing everything up… Why can’t your drum editing been done in Cubase 11?

I dont like the slice and dice way cubase does it. I love to multitrack audio warp protools way. Rumor has it c12 has it… And yes, i dont mind changing version. I can always open C11. Been running cubase since sx3 and never had major issues.

Try to edit acc guitars that are recorded with spaced pair and mono mic. Basically impossiple in cubase…

Grace period almost 3 months already… geeewizz

What is the magic new functions that make cubase 11 impossible and 12 will do what protools can do?

Right before Summer NAMM so any bugs won’t have come up yet, and whatever big surprises they have will be discussed a lot during NAMM.

So June

Don’t think it’ll be that late, I am hoping it’s gonna be a proper NAMM again this year, however. Never ever been (Would love to), but I love the coverage and buzz during that week!

Multitrack audio warp. There is a rumor, or a hope that it is finally in Cubase 12.

Prob the most requested feature since Cubase 7… Hehe…

Certainly not until the current sale has finished ,that’s for sure

That’s interesting, that 40% new years sale was originally ending 4th Feb (Friday), and now it’s set to (Monday) 14th.

So, 16th it is then!

I though I saw wrong. Could have sworn it was the 4th. Hehe…

Cubase 12 rumors??? Wheeeere???

Posts Matthias made long ago about feature request that Wil be addressed in c12.

He’s probably beta testing Cubase 12 in his underground bunker.

Way to throw shade!!

Bonjour Hi Powernemo,

The News today in the Cubase 12 release watch sure is exciting.

As of 11:41 AM Thursday, February 10, 2022 (GMT+1) the following events were noted on the Steinberg forums.

There was a mild disagreement as to the intent and purpose of the Cubase Grace period purchase and upgrade system.

There was also much ado about the likely upgrade price from version 11 to version 12, when version 11 was not activated within the GP.

According to sources on the forum this activity prompted a representative to provide a post specifying that the full upgrade costs of Cubase 11 to Cubase 12 will be €99.

Wow a full upgrade outside of the GP for only €99. At todays exchange rates, that’s $113.28 USD, £83.51 Pound sterling, 13,119.48 Japanese Yen, or 720.25 Chinese Yuan. You could buy 58 whole eggs for that in Beijing, or 27 Lattes in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Quite an amazing price!

It was also announced in the very same post that the release of Cubase 12 will not be in October. That’s right there will be no October release this year.

Will Cubase 12 be released some time before now and September 31? Or instead will it be released between November 1 and December 31? Will further ranting on the forums prompt Steinberg to exclude other possible months?

No one knows for sure, so stay tuned for your daily Cubase 12 release watch News.

Check back tomorrow about these exciting developments.

While I enjoyed your summary immensely, could you please fact check this?

Here in the UK, I buy from the local farm shop and they’re around £1/Dozen - That’s nearly a thousand eggs instead of opting for the C12 upgrade. Yet if I were in Beijing it’s a measly 58 egg comparison?!

Cubase 12 is going to be massive over there if you’re correct. Wonder if Steinberg would accept eggs as a global currency? I’d get all the expansions and pay for 25 years of updates today* if so!

*Would need to check availability with the farm shop first.

Fact Check from an earlier report.

Our sources reveal that a whole egg in Beijing costs 1.94 $ Now that’s strait from asking our googly reporter on the net for “the price of eggs in china”. Now that’s the price of a Whole dozen egg, and perhaps that needed clarification, but if you thought that from 1 egg to 12 you were going to pay £1, you are creating an unrealistic expectation, as the most likely thing is that you will pay £1.94 (ponds sterling)… :man_shrugging:

Of course that is for 1 Whole Egg, and by Whole Egg, remember they come in a dozen.
If you want to know the cost of individual egg units in Beijing, For the price of an upgrade from Cubase 11 to a Whole Cubase (or Cubase 12) that would be 69 tens and 6 individual egg units, or 58 “Whole Eggs”

Exemplified!

Eggstremely interesting, looking at the cost of a dozen worldwide…

Switzerland “pay” the worth of 188 eggs, that’s a puny 16 “Whole Egg” unit per C11 > C12 update.

Basically, if you live in the UK and prefer to shop local Steinberg are punishing us because of supermarket egg prices in Europe. How did it even come to this?!!

Appreciate these bulletins, helps put everything into perspective in a calm, relaxed, rational manner. Makes me laugh how some people are so rash.

Reminds me, I need to check flights into Switzerland for myself and Pedro, his eyes will pop out when he see’s those Swiss hens when we land. …At least I hope so!

“Come on Pedro! I got a job for you…!”

I truly can’t wait to be back on the continent. Hopefully by then we will have C12.

It doesn’t matter how much we argue over the Price of Eggs in China, I don’t think they are going to reveal any more non-release months.
