Is there a way to put a diagonal dashed line between staffs, as in keyboard music to show voice movement, and have it automatically position and stick to the notes? (similar to how gliss lines work)
I can draw it from the lines panel and position it manually in engrave mode, but it doesn’t shift if the note spacing changes, and I’m not even sure if it’s best practice to use the vertical or horizontal dashed line, since it’s going diagonal.
Make sure you draw the line with the correct endpoints
For whatever reason this doesn’t work for me. I select a note in the top staff, and then Ctrl-Click a note in the bottom staff, then select a horizontal line, and I end up with a slanted line that isn’t attached to any noteheads (I do have the endpoints correctly set to noteheads, as specified).
I can edit the line in Engrave mode, but was hoping there’d be an easy “sticky” line that would attach to both noteheads?
I also tried the same procedure selecting vertical lines, and no good result there either. What am I missing?
I’m at a bit of a loss to explain why this might not be working for you, Steve. Are you perhaps trying to do this between two unpitched percussion instruments/kits?
