I’m using Cubase Pro 8 on a Win10 box. I notice with some VST, specifically Kontact that I get horrendous volume swells for any note that is held out longer than say a quarter note. If I put a half note for example, by the time the note ends the volume is about 1.5x the starting volume.
I’ve played with the envelope [attack, decay, sustain, release]. I’ve played with the fx; reverb and delay, even turning them off, but I’m still getting it. The VST I’m using here is Airy Anthem - it’s a terrible supposed choir.
Any thoughts on how to stop the volume swells?
Is it just poor VST design?
