This is an export, directly from within dorico, from a different project. same problem.
Am noticing now that here, the tempo is higher than within dorico which in my experience indicates a sample rate issue. They are however synchronised at 48000 Hz between windows and dorico so I’m at a loss
Why do you use the Generic Low Latency driver? You have so many audio devices there that you can choose from, FireFace, etc.
And I wonder, the driver reports back that it can only do 48kHz, nothing else, but usually the built-in Realtek devices offer a wider range of sample rates.
The generic driver used to work fine. I usually use a dedicated asio driver from my focusrite interface when I am home but I am travelling right now. Do you have any recommendations for non-asio drivers? I know about ASIO4ALL at least.
You could try the new Steinberg Built-in ASIO driver. It is based on the Generic Low Latency driver, but offers now automatic sample rate conversion.
You can download it from here
I experience exactly this issue when the PC is set to “Allow apps to access your microphone”. If you switch that off and restart or reboot (I can’t remember which is required) it should be fine.
